Karting Association of Thailand is pleased to announce the Thailand National Championship 2012. Herewith you can find the racing series information, sporting regulation and technical regulation, in Thai and in English. (REVISED ON JANUARY 18, 2012)

Karting Association of Thailand - the organizer of Thailand National Championship, in collaboration with Super Kart Thailand and TrueSport Toyota Junior Kart Championship, cordially invites you, all participants of the three championships, to the 2011 Prize-giving banquet on January 15, 2012, 1800h-2200h (after the race) at Saraburi International Circuit. In which, Mr. Kittitat Vongprai will be presented with HM King Bhumibol trophy, the most prestigious award in the history of Thai karting sport. Chinese banquet and full beverage are served.

After much delay, the final two rounds of Thailand National Championship 2011 -- Round 5 and Round 6 -- will be held as the two-day race format on January 14 and 15, 2012, respectively. THE NEXT ROUND OF SUPERKART THAILAND 2011, ROUND 2, WILL BE HELD AT SARABURI ON AUGUST 20-21.

The Saraburi International Circuit regrets to announce that the Saraburi Kart Club Race on June 18-19 has to be postponed until further notice. The circuit management has organized the merit festivity by offering foods to 9 monks on Sunday June 19th from 10.30h in which, everyone is invited to join this auspicious event.

Furthermore, the circuit is CLOSED for kart practice from June 6th - June 8th for Solar-energy car.

To facilitate the incoming group of True Visions Junior Kart drivers, K.C. Kart Thailand - the organizer of Super Kart Thailand 2011 - announces the POSTPONEMENT OF FIRST ROUND and the racing date for each of the four rounds as following:

Note however that the circuit will be AVAILABLE FOR PRACTICE ON APRIL 30 FROM 1200H ONWARDS AND MAY 1 FROM 1300H ONWARDS for racing by Auto Racing organization. Just in from Khun Kitti, the new management at the Saraburi International Circuit, after 2 years of complete teardown and renovation, the circuit is now back in service! Now with one of the most exciting layout every in Southeast Asia, with many authentic corners like fast-sweeping invisible apex on the penultimate final corners, back-straight that follows by tightening and downhill double-S, the first corner complex that encourages those who dares to take the advantage of the sub-optimal inside lines with extreme caution. In sum, you are looking at the track that requires balanced compromise setup and demanding on drivers. Here are some of the pictures of the newly-birth circuit.

Thailand National Championship 2011 Round 2 will be relocated to SARABURI INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT, formerly S.C. Motorsports Park, on April 3. This will be the first race ever since the major renovation.

Thailand National Championship 2011 Round 1 will be broadcasted on TrueVision TrueSport 2on the following date and time:

SATURDAY MARCH 12 --- Time 1230h
SUNDAY MARCH 13 --- Time 0400h (LATE SATURDAY NIGHT - EARLY SUNDAY MORNING)
SUNDAY MARCH 13 --- Time 1600h

K.C. Kart Thailand - the organizer of Super Kart Thailand 2011 - announces the SKT 2011 series. The championship will start from mid-June, i.e. June 19th at Bira Kart, to accomodate 20 competing seats of Junior drivers and will race for only 4 rounds allowing for more affordable races. The series will also follow international regulations with tires and fuel impounding (!), two-day weekend format with qualifying time trial on Saturday and raceday on Sunday with all 4 rounds live-broadcasted. Mongkol Sathienthirakul -- The first major international Karting championship of 2011 has started, the Winter Cup South Garda at Lonato, Italy, after a rigorous preparation during the long winter break. Tanart “Top” Sathienthirakul raced in KF2 among 82 world-contested drivers and fought with himself in the near-freezing temperature.  Thursday practice was marred by engine problems with less than 30 laps on-track. Friday, however, turned out to be a silver lining when he qualified 10th for the qualifying heat starts, from which, 4th on the starting grid on two Friday heats turned into impressive 3rd and 4th placed. Saturday started with heavy fog (also in Rotterdam as well) in which, the third heat turned out to be nightmare as he faced accident and the fuel filler cap had loosened, finishing 20th, this was consolidated by 5th and 8th placed in the remaining heats. Top started the Sunday’s pre-final heats from 17th to finish the slick-in-the-rainy 20th. With the track refusing to dry, he finished 15th for the finalists. In conclusion, despite Top being consistently fast on dry, with 3rd fastest laps in most, he would improve himself in wet. Still, the results were much impressive than previous years for such contentious international events. His next race will be WSK Euro Series at Sarno, Italy on March 13. (This track is also for CIK World Cup for KF2 on September 18.) We will keep the fingers crossed for him.

THE 2011 KART NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP OF THAILAND!!

You can now find the racing calendar of 2011 Kart National Championship of Thailand in the following table. Regulations are available here in THAI and ENGLISH.

On Saturday January 22nd - THE CHAMPIONS' DAY, Kart Association of Thailand will crown the Champions and Runner-ups of The Kart National ChampionshIp of Thailand 2010. Details as for those recipients of HRH Crown Prince Trophy and the Champions' day itself can be found here in English and in Thai.

NOTE FURTHER THAT:
(1) ROYAL AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION OF THAILAND WILL BE PRESENT FOR THE RACING LICENSE APPLICATION OF 2011. DRIVERS AGED ABOVE 45 WILL NEED "ECG" MEDICAL TEST (CARDIAC TEST) FOR LICENSE APPLICATION AND GENERAL HEALTH CHECK IS ALSO REQUIRED FOR OTHERS. TO FACILITATE THIS, MEDICAL CARS FROM THE SPORTS AUTHORITY OF THAILAND WILL BE ASSISTING YOU ON THIS MEDICAL CHECK-UP FROM 1500H TO 1800H, FREE OF CHARGE!
(2) IN THE CHAMPIONS' DAY, THERE WILL ALSO BE DRIVERS' VOTING ON TIRES TO BE USED EXCLUSIVELY IN THE KART CHAMPIONSHIP OF THAILAND 2011-2012. ALL DRIVERS ARE "ENCOURAGED" TO VOTE FOR THE TIRES OF THEIR CHOICES. DRIVERS AGED UNDER 15 WILL CAST THEIR VOTES BY THEIR PARENTS. THE NOMINATIONS OF TIRES ARE OF THE FOLLOWING 4 BRANDS (IN ALPHABETICAL ORDERS) -- BRIDGESTONE, MAXXIS, MG, MOJO.
